The Railway Industry Association (RIA) Innovation Conference 2025—held at ICC Wales—is the cornerstone event for progress and transformation in the UK rail sector.
Tasked with crafting a standout presence at ICC Wales, we transformed a simple brief into a disruptive visual experience that turned heads and earned accolades. The stand was a blend of sustainability, spectacle, and strategic branding.
Reuse Meets Reinvention
The foundation of the display was a repurposed LED arch salvaged from a previous event in Berlin.
Despite transportation damages, the Skratch® team meticulously repaired and revived the structure, breathing new life into it for the ICC Wales stage.
Tech That Captures Attention
Integrated into the stand was a hypervision holographic fan display, spinning an animated 3D model of the L.B. Foster logo—a visual that stopped attendees in their tracks.
A 50" TV was seamlessly encased into the unit, ensuring smooth presentation delivery without compromising aesthetics. The video content was remotely deployed via Skratch® CMS.
Strategic Design for Visual Impact
David Clarke, Sales and Marketing Director at L.B. Foster, shared the vision behind the setup:

From holograms to high-impact visuals, the RIA Innovation Conference 2025 wasn’t just about conversation—it was about seeing innovation in action. L.B. Foster and Skratch® reminded attendees that when engineering meets creativity, the rail industry gets a glimpse of its future.
