Skratch®’s Trailblazing BSL Signage Leads to Strategic Acquisition by L.B. Foster
In 2021, L.B. Foster announced a forward-looking growth strategy aimed at expanding its technology-focused offerings and reaching new markets. That vision aligned seamlessly with our own, and we were proud to become part of their journey.
At Skratch®, our guiding belief had always been that technology should connect, empower, and inspire. Our journey with L.B. Foster began with a pioneering project for ASDA superstores, where we developed the first digital signage application featuring British Sign Language interpreters in retail environment. This initiative reflected our deep commitment to creating inclusive and meaningful digital experiences.
In 2021, L.B. Foster announced a forward-looking growth strategy aimed at expanding its technology-focused offerings and reaching new markets. That vision aligned seamlessly with our own, and we were proud to become part of their journey.
Following our acquisition, Skratch® operates as a standalone subsidiary within the L.B. Foster group, continuing to deliver creative digital solutions from our Telford office.
Looking back, joining L.B. Foster marked a pivotal moment in our evolution—one that allowed us to scale our impact, deepen our expertise, and contribute to a shared vision of smarter, more connected environments.
